Last Days of Summer Holiday Q & A With Yvonne Kramer, lala Berlin

Because holiday is so important and beautiful and exciting and rare, times paradise, inspirational, adventurous or free, mostly tasty, down and again lazy and always urgently needed, like our personal new year’s Eve, each trip a new start just, the Jane Wayne going on Summer holiday special immediately in the lengthening of the late summer. Actually only consistently, the personal favorite travel months of editors seem poll namely anyway the approaching October, as well as the terrible cold and grey February. Nothing here who can so. Yvonne Kramer, Social Media Manager and blogger relations representative at lala Berlin anyway, great desire on a spontaneous Sicilian road trip makes us Vespa velvet knallroter, Chai tea in the folding chair, breakfast on the Caspian Sea and flamenco dances in polka dot dresses.

Anyway I would squeeze me like yourself with in maiden Kramer’s almost packed suitcase, one finds such a fun, enriching and Vogelfrei tour guide definitely difficult, I speak even from their own Lisbon experience. Yvonne moved from thence: about six years ago to work in London for Topshop, and later for the legendary Agency (owner) Karla Otto , we pushed the uni Bank together in Düsseldorf. Now she has landed with bag and Pack and the great love in their luggage in Berlin. More precisely at lala Berlin, but that I mentioned already. And it’s not, that here now also pardon, but to leave. Also, if I go only very reluctantly to let this clever Lockenopf – it was only for a few weeks. Anyway, let’s tell Yvonne that: where do you do still vacation this fall?

End of October it goes for a little road trip to Sicily. Preferably on a red vintage Vespa, but a small rental car seemed but practical. It starts in Catania, then by ferry for three days on the small island of Liparo. The Airbnb, we have booked, look out directly on the volcanic island volcano opposite. Third and final stop is the Sicilian capital of Palemero. During the day it’s walk and Munch a lot Italian on several small beaches, and at night in the old town. A trip to the location of the Godfather – Savoca – will be of course also in.

Case Pack Tip:

Always a foldable bag to take! At the end, there’s always souvenirs, which simply must. Even if it is just a big bag of jute, which turns out at every holiday as practical.

What are you reading during the cooling off period?

Most of the time I take magazines with the holiday, which I can’t read otherwise. This time it is definitely Brownbook “Baklava” and “Baghdad”  with. I was yesterday in the Gordon Parks Exhibition at C/O and his story has me knocked so, that I’ll read his memoirs “A Hungry Heart” now in any case.

How do you relax more?
Drift on the air mattress and the shark phobia try to ignore. Collecting shells is always great. Sounds cheesy, I could spend hours but with. Visit local markets. Of which one has never heard anything to buy fruits and vegetables. I like to cook it on the holiday itself. Since I have really time to enjoy cooking and simply more aware to eat and to take some time. Also very relaxing: evening walks on the beach shore and time enjoy a starlit sky.

Your favorite holiday snapshots (in recent years)?

This is on the Feria de Jerez in southern Spain. I’ve squeezed me 35 Grand in the flamenco dress Grandma of my buddies vintage. But it was worth every bead of sweat. The people, music and atmosphere there are incomparable. All, all women wear a flamenco dress and danced all day Sevilana, Tio Pepe (a Spanish Sherry) drunk, and eating tapas. Hipp Hipp Olé!

Your my favorite holiday?
Iran. The journey from the dusty Tehran through the mountains in the Tropical North of the Caspian Sea is simply unbeatable. Of the smog in to tropical. You can see the milky way in the mountains and the highest mountains have a snow Summit sometimes in the summer. On the way to the North is stopped often on rivers or mountain springs, to cool off, eat watermelon, and drinking especially Chai. Yes, Cup of tea cools… Funnily enough. I will never forget the breakfast in my Großtanten on the Caspian Sea. Everything tastes a little better here. The figs, pecorino, bread. Even if a here the snakes and crawling critters Goodnight, I still dream of the day, announce where I buy a little house there.

What do you wear in the water?

My dream swimsuit: The cut-out swimsuit by Mara Hoffman, which reminds a bit of the “birth of Venus” by Botticelli… Maybe just in my head. But where I would like to splash around!

The reality:

The strap back swimsuit by & other stories. A small black is always.

Your favorite sunglasses?

I have as a Sunglass clip for my glasses by Garrett Leight. Super handy when you want to swap all the time as glasses in. Sounds nerdy, but really not bad looks.

What dress you put in your suitcase?

In any case my asymmetrical, colorful dress by Topshop boutique. It is just so comfy and can both super chic worn with mules as well as sneakers.

An airy stand dress must in any case. The caftan by lala Berlin is perfect for the way the State and serves at the same time as the dressing tent.

What make you up you on vacation?

On the beach, I leave off everything and instead the freckles sprout. In the face, I used always SPF 40 face cream by Clinique – super fast moves and for a sun cream very light and fresh feel. My lips from drying out, I put the mango Lipbalm of Burt’s bee a.

And what do you smell?

During the day after the slight perfume “beach walk” from the replica set by Maison Margiela and in the evening to go out a splash of “Rose 31” by Le Labo. I actually like no flower scents, but Le Labo used some spicy note that totally addictive.

My handy tip:

Always a little travel pharmacy here have. Waterproof plasters, Fenistil, paracetamol… all these things have I lost already as often as in my holiday must search and thus precious time. A little preparation doesn’t hurt Yes also.

What do you hortest your travel documents?

I travel always with same bag. A Weekender from & other stories in black leather. Has a practical, large side pocket, where I quickly come off on my travel documents. What I but still would like to have for my passport, is this paradise Passport cover:
